Adapalene Gel 0.1% (Topical Retinoid): A topical retinoid medication used in Effaclar Adapalene for the treatment of acne. A synthetic molecule that mimics vitamin A, it works by regulating skin cell turnover to help remove and prevent dead skin from clogging pores. An ideal choice for those concerned with whiteheads and blackheads.

INACTIVE INGREDIENTS

CARBOMER HOMOPOLYMER • EDETATE DISODIUM • METHYLPARABEN • POLOXAMER 182 • PROPYLENE GYLCOL • PURIFIED WATER • SODIUM HYDROXIDE

Step 1: To open the product, remove the cap and insert the opposite side of the cap into the foil. Push down on the cap and twist until the foil is punctured.

Step 2: After using a gentle cleanser, apply a pea sized amount all over the face once daily in the evening.

Step 3: Apply a moisturizer after use.

Step 4: Use with SPF daily

My skin has been on a journey as my hormones have been all over the place, so I've had lots of acne to combat. I used to have a prescription adapalene product that I used to treat it, so I was excited and intrigued to see this product in very similar packaging and consistency. I'm still trying it out, but honestly, so far I can't really tell if it has done much to treat my acne. It gives me peace of mind when I apply it, because I know there are good ingredients in there, but as far as quick results, I really can't tell if it shortened the life of my acne or not. I wish I could, because I want to love all these products (and have some go tos when my face is breaking out 😅).

I started to use this one when decided introduce retinoids in my skincare routine and someone recommended this one for beginners. Overall this product changed my skin for the better. I didn’t have any problem with dryness on my face but I guess this goes for different types of skin. It’s better to start one a week and then progressing. I like to pair it with the Toleriane Ultra Soothing Care Face Moisturizer, for me it made the perfect pair.

Maybe I was doing something wrong, but I used this product daily for a week and my skin got so irritated than no lotion could fix it. It was red and burning. Moving forward, I only will apply it on certain spots, not my entire face
